About Zenith

Since its founding in 1865 by the visionary Georges Favre-Jacot, Zenith has stood as a pillar of Swiss watchmaking, celebrated for its unwavering commitment to precision, innovation, and in-house mechanical mastery. The brand's very name, evoking the highest point in the heavens, reflects its relentless pursuit of horological excellence. This quest was eternally cemented in 1969 with the creation of the legendary El Primero, one of the first integrated automatic chronograph movements and still renowned as the world's most precise series-produced calibre, capable of measuring time to the nearest tenth of a second.

Acquired by LVMH in November 1999 as one of the first prestigious watchmakers to join the global conglomerate, Zenith demonstrates this pivotal partnership through its embrace of new materials, bold designs, and groundbreaking complications like the Oscillator. All while maintaining its foundational principle of 100% in-house manufacturing, this ensures that every Zenith watch remains a testament to its defiant and innovative soul.
