A.Lange & Söhne

Founded in 1845 in the Sachsen region of Germany, the watchmaker originally specialized in ultra-high-end pocket watches reserved for nobility and royalty, as well as railroad chronometers. After being destroyed in 1945, the brand was resurrected in 1990 by FA Lange's great grandson, Walter Lange. Since its revival, A.Lange & Söhne has developed its own distinctive signature. This includes the use of solid sterling silver for its dials and movement constructs, blending finely-tuned mechanical movements that compete with the high horology standards set by Swiss manufacturers. Despite the brand's German origins, it has risen to prominence alongside the elite Swiss watchmaking industry over the past three decades.
